Week in Action - March 25

Ms. Sarita and Ms. Kathy's class concluded their study of Asia with a presentation on India. Children explored the art - artifacts, clothing, food - spices and traditions of the different regions in India.They also reviewed the various fruits and vegetables and classified various parts of the plants that ends up on the dinner table. The class took a peek at Monet and his art and created their own water lily masterpieces. On Friday, the butterflies were out of their chrysalis and children had fun watching them fly away.




















Ms. Andrea and Ms. Cristina's class continued their study of South America. They also continued their study of the human body by taking a closer look at human senses. They learned about the parts of the eye, ear, and tongue. The children also had the opportunity to do a scavenger hunt to welcome the beginning of spring.











Ms. Kim and Ms. Naomi's class had an exciting week learning about Egypt and hieroglyphics. They discussed the Great Pyramid of Giza and introduced the square based pyramid to their Geometric Solids work. They also said farewell to their butterflies. The children loved learning about the lifecycle and it was exciting to watch them fly away.
